France La Croix Blanc, Languedoc Roussillon 2008 (12.5% abv)
Intense nose of white flowers, juicy peaches and vanilla pods. The palate is full and well balanced with lively fruit and a refreshing finish.

Spain Rioja, Viura/Malvasia Dinastia Vivanco 2008
This wine maybe pale in colour but is no shrinking violet, with soft lemon and peach fruit on the nose and a crisply pressed palate with more citrus and peahc notes and a subtle hint of fresh white flowers.

Italy Pinot Grigio Conti Rossi, Veneto 2009 (12% abv)
Fresh, slightly grassy nose, with a palate of green apple and lemony hints. Clean and refreshing finish.

Chile San Rafael Sauvignon Blanc 2009
Generously proportioned with passion fruit and melon. The solid texture is kept in balance by vibrant fruit acidity.

• Richer wines with oak
France Pouilly Fuisse La Croix Robert-Denogent, Burgundy 2006/7
Deep, creamy white Burgundy with a hint of vanilla and oak spice adding to the lemon, melon and peach fruit flavours. Rounded and soft but no lacking for refreshing acidity or minerality, it has a long fruit-led finish.

Australia Chardonnay, Olive Grove d'Arenberg, 2007 (14.5% abv)
Intense, complex honey, cashew, fig and soft toast aromas. Typically, butterscotch, light caramel and hints of fresh tobacco are evident too.

France Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseigneres Domaine Roux 2008
Elegant oak-cask aged Chardonnay with rich flavours of ripe apple, lemon and tropical fruits with a hint of vanilla. It's a well rounded and elegant white wine with a complex nose dominated by exotic aromas. This Puligny Montrachet is extremely well balanced with a long lasting finish.

• Crisp with green fruits
N Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Spy Valley, Marlborough 2008 (13% abv)
Classic NZ Sauvignon characters of gooseberry & asparagus, with ripe melon really delicately balanced and at the same time deliciously quaffable. A class act.

France Picpoul de Pinet, Cote Flamenc, 2009 (12%abv)
Fine & fruity, reminiscence of citrus, tropical fruits & spring flowers. Mineral notes. Medium-bodied dry white wine. Weli balanced, fresh and clean finish. Star buy!

France Sancerre Eric Louis, Loire Valley 2008
A fresh, crisp wine in classic Sancerre style. Lean, lime and gooseberry fruit with plenty of minerality; a very elegant wine.

• Aromatic, spicy and fragrant
Austria Gruner Veltliner, Laurenz V 2008 (12% abv)
Austria's wonder grape puts in another star turn. The Friendly GV delivers its customary and bewildering array of delicious flavours; peach, apple, pepper, you name it, this wine's got it! A must with Asian cuisine.

France Gewurztraminer Prestige Ribeauville, 2007/8 (13% abv)
Intense in the nose with complex & fine notes of rose & Iychee. Full bodied, opulent & rich with spicy notes (pepper, coriander. .. ) as well as floral (rose, peony).

N Zealand Riesling, Spy Valley, Marlborough, 2008 (12% abv)
Off-dry Riesling - a sort of Kiwi Kabinett - with real, criSp limey citrus and defined minerality to balance the ripe apple, peach and apricot notes.

Argentina Torrontes Alamos, Mendoza, 2007/8 (13% abv)
A bright, aromatic white with muscat-like grapey aromas alongside floral jasmine and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied with good concentration of fruit, the crisp acidity on the balances the lush, perfumed fruit.

• Unoaked fruit driven whites
S Africa Chenin Blanc Saam Mountain 2009 (13% abv)
A tropical nose consisting of pear, guava and ripe yellow stone fruit jumps out of the glass when you pour it.

France Chablis Francoise Chauvenet 2008 (12.5% abv)
Clean, refreshing Chablis with intense apple fruit, with a subtle honeyed richness underneath. Long, fresh and elegant on the finish.

Italy Soave Classico Suavia, Veneto 2008 (12.5% abv)
Subtle aromas of green and yellow fruits, mixed herbs and lemons fill the nose. Elegant and rich on the palate with wonderful intensity of flavours and a lengthy finish.

USA Chardonnay Edna Valley Marmessa 2005 (13.5% abv)
